President-Elected Obama hits the ground running!
President-Elected Obama had his first speech after being elected as the 44th president. Obama not yet in office, all ready making plans to get America out the rut that was created by the President Bush. He is already asking for a stimulus package for middle class Americans and also to help the America auto industry get back on the right track to move forward. Obama is really moving swiftly to get America back on track.

The U.S. has a longer transition period between the election and the swearing in of the new president than do most countries. Bush is still president until January 20 but I think he is aware that everyone is looking to Obama for leadership at this point.
